March 22, 2018 at the Klamath County Museum: The History of the Klamath Basin Wildlife Refuges presented by Kenneth Doutt
March 25, 2018 at the Baldwin Hotel: Women's History Sunday at 10:00 am and again at 1:00 pm. This program was organized by Gloria Sullivan. If features five women who had significant roles in the history of the Klamath Basin: Pat McMillan, F. Jean Elzner, Buena Cobb Stone, Helen Helfrich and Sophia Henley. Speakers will be Gloria Sullivan, Cindy DeRosier, Nancy Brace and Carol Mattos.
April 26, 2018 at the Klamath County Museum: 100th Anniversary of World War I - A free program on how WWI affected the Klamath Basin by Rich Touslee. Refreshments will be served and a business meeting will follow. The program will be held at 7:00 pm in the main meeting room.
May 3, 2018 at the Klamath County Museum: The Museum's new balloon bomb exhibit will be opened with a program and ceremony at 7:00 pm. The exhibit will include a temporary display of the recently donated object recovered from the site on Gearhart Mountain where six lives were lost in 1945.
May 5, 2018 at the Linkville Cemetery: The Annual Linkville Cemetery cleanup. Come and participate in keeping our pioneer cemetery clean and neat. Every year the KCHS with the Klamath Falls City Parks Department sponsor a clean-up day along with other community minded groups and individauls. The city will provide some tools (bring your own if you have them). At lunch time the city will also provide hotdogs, buns and chips for the work crew. The clean-up will start at 9:00 am and end about 1:00 pm. Hopefully we will have a nice warm Spring day.
May 24, 2018 at the Klamath County Museum: The Flu Epidemic of 1918 - A free program presented by Todd Kepple. The presentation will be followed by a short Membership meeting. Refreshments will be served.
June 17, 2018 COLLIER PARK HERITAGE DAY INFO BOOTH at Collier Park. Volunteers are always welcome to help set-up and man the booth for the Museum. Call Dave Taylor at 541 273-0953 It's alway fun!!
June 23, 2018 on the road: KCHS Annual Bus Tour to include lunch at Bill Nicholson's Ranch in Fort Klamath. If you have never been there, you NEED TO GO as his ranch is a museum in itself!! Sign-Ups and cost to be announced in May. Preference given to members of KCHS. General public will be able to sign up in June.
June 24, 2018 in Bonanza: Tour of the Bonanza Cemetery - Carol Mattos & Gloria Sullivan will lead a tour of the cemetery at 6:00 pm on Sunday, featuring proinent pioneers buried there.
The annual KCHS picnic will be announced later.
